As we haven't been able to sleep too well lately due to the acquired jet lag, one night I parked myself in front of our television to eat strawberries and watch the beautiful Sally Mann document What Remains. I never get tired of watching it, it's so capturing and compelling. I don't know where the beauty of her photographs lies, but they are amazing. Her photographs were exhibited in Helsinki in 2007-2008 (oh, was that so long ago?) and we had a chance to see them. If I had money... The document also featured her daughter Jessie whose paintings I find somehow calming. And once again I must state that how beautiful can a person be? I find her Self Possessed photographs uneasy - but oh so remarkable, as well. Get to know her.
P says that it's stupid to say that someone is talented - if you are really good at something you must have practiced it for ages. Talent is not something that is just given, being talented takes time, nerves and patience. And continuous practicing. Don't know, can't recognize myself :) But P, you are talented in many, many ways, may it then be due practicing or not - and in every which way amazing!
