I DO like winter, I DO like snow, but enough is enough. Jeez, it's almost April and it's still snowing. Maybe we should just run away. I'm so sick and tired to this never ending winter. I NEED sunshine! Do I have to confine myself to mind travelling? No, if it's up to the grant I was awarded a couple of weeks ago. That's still a bit of a mess, but hopefully we are not here in May/June :)
Oh, I promised to give a lecture today, it's about gender and identity and gender identity. The topic is one of my favourites, I hope the students get what I try to say... Working with REALLY young students is problematic for me: either they say they have no experience of anything or they don't know how anything relates with themselves.
A reminder: I had a visiting lecturer in my course a couple of years ago and we were dealing with issues concerning self and how our selves relate to everything we do in this life. One boy left midstream and commented that he'll be back when we deal with issues that really matter. Pheew!!! Guess how furious I was!
