Hey ho, the long (?) weeks of summer holiday are gone and we are fumbling our way back to, well, life. Do I really have to wear proper clothes? Why can't I sleep? What happened to my candy stock? Do I have to go to work? To celebrate the first days at work, I decided to pay for something that I thought I wouldn't pay for, that is, Spotify. Well, the advertisements were a bit irritating...
Looking back at the holiday, the most amazing thing that I can think of is the progress O made. Or maybe I just haven't noticed before that we have the most extraordinary, intelligent and wise child. And the most adorable and huggable (is that a word?). And he wants a cat. These things are not connected.
It is quite frightening to notice that there are many things in life that I do not pay attention to. S always reminds me to pay attention and I think that is one of the most important advices you can get (thank you S!). Pay attention to what is happening around you. Otherwise you'll miss so much. And this is applicable to everything. Pay attention to your personal life and remember to enjoy it - all the little ups and downs and the "boring" everyday life. Pay attention to how you are treated at work - it will tell a lot. Pay attention to all the little details. Just pay attention.
It was soooooooo good to see the most precious people in my life (and notice that they tend to spoil your child...) and stop for a minute to think about life in general. We made some big decisions during the holiday and now there are such avenues available for exploring of which I have only dreamt of. Exciting!
Hmm, since yesterday I've been dying to bake a chocolate cake - maybe I'll do it today. Now a cup of coffee must serve :)
